INDIANAPOLIS April 12, 2007
PrincetonOne, one of the 10 largest recruitment organizations in the United States, today officially dedicated its spacious, new
downtown Indianapolis office, an act expected to ultimately create more than 200 news jobs that will pay an average of more than
$35 an hour.
City and state officials joined company leaders for a luncheon celebration that hailed the firm's partnership "around the world and
in the heart of Indianapolis." Guests representing the education, economic development and downtown civic involvement sectors, as
well as PrincetonOne clients joined in the event.
PrincetonOne delivers a fully integrated menu of assessment, recruitment, retention, staffing, training and organizational development
services from its 15 offices in the United States, three in Europe and one office in Asia. The firm also now occupies the entire seventh
floor of the historic Century Building at 36 Pennsylvania Street, after consolidating its offices near Carmel and in Greenwood to
downtown Indianapolis.
PrincetonOne could have moved elsewhere in the U.S., according to CEO Dave Campeas, but company officials opted to remain in
Central Indiana.
Campeas said a package of city and state incentives, which included a $60,000 training grant as well as EDGE tax credits, played a
critical role in the company's decision to choose the city. However, there was even more at work behind PrincetonOne's decision
to commit to Indianapolis.
"The workforce in Indiana, particularly in Indianapolis, is a very well educated and skilled workforce," said Campeas. "In fact, we
are able to find some of the most qualified people in our business right here in Indianapolis."
There was one more element, according to Campeas. "People in Indiana are just plain nice. It's so refreshing to be able to work with
people who are less stressed and less harried, and that comes across when working with our clients."
Campeas also praised the quality of Indiana students, adding that the state benefits from a large number of "fantastic" higher
education institutions.
"PrincetonOne is another great example of a successful company that could have expanded anywhere in the country, but they chose
to make a significant investment and create hundreds of new, high-paying jobs right here in Indianapolis," Mayor Bart Peterson said.
"This expansion says a great deal about PrincetonOne's commitment to our city and shows the continued strength of our surging
economy."
The company's re-location also marks "one more step on the long, uphill climb toward a stronger and more diversified economy,"
said Gov. Mitch Daniels.
As for the economy in general, business for PrincetonOne and other recruitment firms like it will be strong in the next few years,
Campeas predicted. The administrative/service employment sector, which includes everything from financial services to information
technology, is experiencing a talent gap "that is growing virtually monthly," he said.
Historically, adjusted unemployment nationwide has been low. Now, with a large sector of the workforce preparing to retire, there
simply aren't enough people to replace those leaving the workforce.
"The need for outstanding talent is continuing to grow, no matter what happens in the macro-economic picture. The employment
picture remains good for workers and good for job seekers," he said.
PrincetonOne is the number one recruitment solutions firm in Indianapolis, as determined by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
Together, PrincetonOne's U.S. offices placed about 2,700 people in 2006, alone.
Headquartered in Skillman, New Jersey, PrincetonOne provides its clients with a cohesive strategy for recruiting, retention,
staffing assessment, training and organizational development. With 30 years of experience, PrincetonOne has earned annual revenue
of more than $30 million, by delivering unified recruitment solutions and measurable results for more than 600 clients around the
world.
