PrincetonOne HirePursuit Optimizes Recruitment Process of Diabetes Care Leader; Fulfills 654 Positions in Four Months

The Client

The client is a health care company with an 80-year history of innovation and achievement in diabetes care. The company has the broadest diabetes product portfolio in the industry, including the most advanced products within the area of insulin delivery systems. The company employs approximately 22,500 employees in 79 countries, and markets its products in 179 countries.

The Challenge

The client announced a major expansion of its diabetes care sales force from its current group of 1,200 people to approximately 1,900. The goal of the expansion was to strengthen the company’s position in the U.S. insulin market.

The Solution

Upon the build-out of a customized talent solution, PrincetonOne HirePursuit hired a total of 654 sales representatives for the company within a four-month period. The expected fill rate was 92 percent, and PrincetonOne HirePursuit exceeded this to fill 95 percent of the positions within the established timelines. The client was provided with a diverse mix of candidates, all with the relevant experience that was required.

As is typical with most projects, challenges arose and PrincetonOne HirePursuit was able to meet the program objectives regardless of what came up. Below is a list of obstacles that were overcome:

• Important information regarding what territories needed to be filled was received after the cut-off date, which affected PrincetonOne HirePursuit’s ability to source for candidates in those areas. Through the fast turnaround of the sourcing department, PrincetonOne HirePursuit was able to get candidates through in time for face-to-face interviews.
• The client requested that PrincetonOne handle the scheduling rather than going through an outside vendor. This required a quick ramp up of the scheduling department. PrincetonOne HirePursuit successfully scheduled over 1,800 candidates for interviews.
•Originally, candidate materials were to be transmitted to the hiring managers electronically. Instead, the client requested that PrincetonOne HirePursuit provide hard copy candidate packets for each hiring manager. PrincetonOne HirePursuit was able to accommodate this need, and each packet was delivered on time as requested. Over 7,200 candidate packets were prepared throughout the duration of the project.

This was the largest project PrincetonOne HirePursuit had encountered under such short timelines. PrincetonOne HirePursuit’s flexibility in multiple areas was essential to the success of the project and allowed for future partnerships with the client.
