Adelphia
Building A-Teams in vast new market expansions
The Client
Adelphia Business Solutions is a publicly-held Integrated Communications Provider (ICP), and is a subsidiary of Adelphia Cable, based in Coudersport, PA.
The Challenge
Adelphia's aggressive growth plan called for the company to open 200 new markets within 3 years to sell their bundled telecommunications services. The new markets were spread out across the eastern U.S. During the early stages of implementation, Adelphia quickly realized that finding and positioning the right people in each market would be one of their toughest challenges. In addition, they knew having the right talent on board was mission-critical. Due to the nature of such a massive project, they sought out a leader in the staffing industry that could serve all their human capital and staffing needs.
The Solution
Adelphia targeted PrincetonOne as the strategic business partner to help them meet their goals. PrincetonOne accepted the challenge and began work on the project immediately. The directive was for PrincetonOne to source top talent at every level within each expansion market, and serve as the human resources department for all recruiting and hiring functions.
Beginning with senior leadership and encompassing the field leaders, PrincetonOne worked to customize a staffing plan for each new city. The initial hire of a general manager in each market was critical in that it set the cultural tone for all remaining hires. Once a general manager was in place, PrincetonOne concentrated on building each team.
Having completed over 300 hires in the past three years, PrincetonOne has helped to position Adelphia Business Solutions as a leader in the telecommunications industry.
